The badge of honor was accompanied by a material prize and a certificate, and was awarded in the form of a gold, silver or steel medal. The gold badge of honor was awarded by Hitler himself on the recommendation of the Gauleiter responsible, on the joint recommendation of Robert Ley , Director of the Corresponding Leaders of the Deutsche Arbeitsfront and the NSDAP, and the Director of the “NSDAP Central Office for Technology”, Albert Speer.
