The Reichsnährstand (RNST) was a corporate organization of the agricultural economy and agricultural policy of the German Reich from 1933 to 1945, which was established as a corporation under public law (autonomous company) with its own articles of association, budget, membership fees and civil service law, and existed until 1948. Since 1933, the headquarters of the Reichsführer Landesgemeinschaft had been Goslar, which would later become the Reich's peasant town. The Reich Harvest Festival was celebrated between 1933 and 1937 as a central event on the Bückeberg near Hameln .

The RNST's work focused primarily on controlling the production, distribution and prices of agricultural products. The social and cultural interests of its members also formed part of its tasks.

Over the years, persistent conflicts between the RNST, the Gauleiters and the German Labor Front led to an erosion of organizational self-administration. Thus, the RNST, which pursued policy as a “semi-state” institution within the polycratically organized National Socialist system of government, became increasingly an instrument of the Ministry of Agriculture and the party with the onset of the Second World War.
